Paying Attention to the Hands Among Other Things

May 25, 2011

Jacob DowkerIn a video on YouTube titled “can you pay attention to my hands mister“, a young man uses American Sign Language to send a romantic message to his boyfriend about how he feels, and how he would like to express it in person.

In an article about the video in TÊTU, a French publication, Jacob (the man in the video) said that some of their friends and relatives were not completely enthusiastic about it. However, the majority of them were proud to be associated with him, seeing how successful the clip had become. The boyfriend Anthony’s take on the video is that it provides opportunities for many people to see what “gay love” really means.

Neither Anthony or Jacob is deaf. Anthony has an interest in languages, including ASL. When they first met, Anthony showed Jacob a little of how to sign. Concerning the signing in the video, Anthony explained that Jacob learned most of the signs he wanted to use from a book, in just a week’s time.

Marco Andretti As Indiana Jones

June 3, 2008

IndyCar driver Marco Andretti was able to wear his Indiana Jones firesuit again at the ABC Supply/A.J. Foyt 225 race at the Milwaukee Mile on June 1st. He has to wear it as part of the sponsorship agreement with Lucasfilm and Blockbuster that advertises the new Indiana Jones film. Marco looks cute in it, although one does expect to hear him say “trick-or-treat” while holding out a candy sack.

The suit hasn’t given him any blockbuster climax yet, but Marco did cause some gasp-inspiring action when he was involved in a collision with Ed Carpenter that made his car into a ramp to launch Vitor Meira into the air. Marco’s assessment of the situation was “I just carried too much speed into the corner, and I had dirty air in front of me. I lost the front end and went up into him.”

I think it would have been better if he worked at least a mention of escaping from evil Nazis into the explanation.

For the rest of us, a good fashion choice would be the t-shirt that relative and fellow racer John Andretti wore at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that said “I wanna be Marco Andretti”.

Ben DiChiara Gets Tough

February 13, 2008

Ben DiChiaraIn episode 4 of Make Me A Supermodel, I was startled to hear Ben DiChiara of Nashville show his jail guard side to Jacki when she suggested that he had been sleeping every night with Aryn. He told her to shut her f-ing mouth. Cool. The female models on the show are too bitchy and they need to be put in their place. Still, Ben has been so incredibly easy-going that it seems strange to see him get mad.

Here is the link for Ben DiChiara episode recaps.

Ryan Kehoe

February 12, 2008

I have been watching MTV’s The Gauntlet III (Real World/Road Rules Challenge) because of Ryan Kehoe. I like Ryan and seems like a cool guy. You don’t get to see much of him on the show, but I find him increasingly appealing. He reminds me of an ex-boyfriend. At least all of the good parts.

I’ll tell you about where they differ. While they have both been waiters, at least Ryan Kehoe never sold women’s shoes, that I know of. He also probably is not a two-timing, serial dater nor a person who starts every conversation listing what illegal drugs he is on. Don’t get me wrong, I have no ill will toward the ex. He went from an active skinny boy to a huge blob, which showed me I didn’t miss out on anything. Still, we had some good times in the long ago.

Lysacek Forechecks Weir

January 28, 2008

I’ve been a little wary of the strange way that Johnny Weir presents himself, but have tried to have a live and let live attitude about it. However, when I saw his latest arrogance and trash talking about Evan Lysacek during NBC’s presentation of the 2008 U.S. Mens Figure Skating Championship, I was thoroughly disgusted with him. I believe Evan Lysacek is a more deserving person to be a national champion, and his triumph over Johnny Weir by way of a tie is a wonderful bitch slap across Weir’s face.

Mosheh Oinounou

January 6, 2008

Is anybody else getting totally turned on by Fox News correspondent Mosheh Oinounou? He is reporting on the Rudy Guiliani campaign for Fox News. He looks adorable.

I want to be his goy toy.
