Finchum And Boudia Dive For It

At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials that ended on June 22 in Indianapolis, David Boudia of Noblesville, Indiana, came out on top in the results for the men’s 10 meter platform, beating out his friend and partner, Thomas Finchum of Indianapolis. Boudia had extra points awarded to him for placement in an earlier international competition and that made the difference in giving him a higher score than Finchum at the trials. Finchum will have to go the selection camp before he gets his ticket to Beijing but that is certain to be only a formality. He will be America’s other diver on the 10m and with Boudia will be our entry for the 10 meter synchronized.

Finchum (above) seemed forlorn during the last day of the trials, but he should have some golden days ahead.
